We’ve had 4 years of your generous support to fall back on and we’ve strived to offer you what we feel you want. So much so that we are again inviting you to take part in the 5th Annual Fr. Michael Smith Memorial Golf tournament on Saturday June 12, 2010. The event will be played at Granite Ridge Golf Club in Milton, ON. This is a SHOTGUN START tournament and begins at 1PM SHARP with the teams competing for the "Lawrence Dlugosz Memorial Trophy".
Last year we were able to raise $10,000 for Copernicus Lodge and $1,500 for The John Paul II Fund for Polish Orphans & Abandoned Children. The net proceeds from this year’s tournament will again benefit these two charities.
We thank our returning "Presenting Sponsor", Expo Cruises and Tours, who has generously donated an All-inclusive 7-night Caribbean "Cruise for Two" to be auctioned off to the highest bidder during our "LIVE" Auction event at dinner. And we also thank our returning Platinum Sponsors, Andrew Kowalczewski Insurance and WM Jewellery Services.
We encourage you to participation in this year’s tournament, either as a sponsor of a hole, an event sponsor, prize table item, or as a player. If you choose to be a sponsor, your company’s name will be published in a commemorative booklet to be displayed at each dinner table plus other optional collateral material. The tournament is in memory of the late Fr. Michael Smith – a visionary priest at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, a builder/organizer of St. Casimir’s Parish, St. Stanislaus - St. Casimir’s Polish Parishes Credit Union Limited and Copernicus Lodge Senior’s Home and Long-Term Care Facility.
